Actual Measurement And Verification Of The Condition Of Fuses In Old Power Lines.
The inspection began with examining the casing of fuse box drop out fuse for signs of cracks, corrosion, or deformation. Next, a digital multimeter was used to measure the deviation between the actual current passing through and the rated value, and the differences between peak load and no-load conditions were recorded. Further simulation tests were conducted to assess potential overload or short-circuit scenarios to determine if the fuse could interrupt current within the specified time. For some older fuse boxes, the testing also included withstand voltage testing and temperature rise monitoring to determine whether overheating or insulation aging would occur under sustained high loads.
