High-voltage Disconnect Switches Installed Indoors Must Be Kept Vertical.

Date: | Read: 13

When installing a High Voltage Disconnect Switch disconnector indoors, the device should be kept vertical, ensuring its structure is aligned with the cabinet. This ensures the stationary and moving contacts of the disconnector are accurately positioned according to design requirements.

Vertical installation ensures the contact surfaces of the blades and stationary contacts are flat. If the installation is tilted, uneven force during closing or opening may prevent the contacts from closing simultaneously, resulting in poor contact. For equipment with a rated voltage of 10kV, if the deviation of the contacts in each phase exceeds the design allowable value, it will cause time differences between different phases, affecting three-phase synchronization.
