Cold Shrinkage Principle

Date: | Read: 1

It is well known that rubber possesses the characteristic of "elastic memory," that is, elastic recoil force. This characteristic is utilized to form cold shrinkage technology. Cold shrinkage technology is also a pre-expansion technology, which involves expanding the molded rubber component within its elastic limit using an internal support.  When in use, the rubber component is fitted over the object, and the support is removed. The rubber component then quickly shrinks at room temperature, forming a single integrated unit around the object. The principle of rubber's "elastic memory" is used in the preparation of Cold Shrink Cable Accessories.
