The Wall Switch testing standard mainly focuses on two aspects: the service life of the wall switch and its insulation resistance and electrical strength. These two dimensions work together to determine product reliability.

Lifespan reflects the mechanical and electrical durability of the switch during long-term, repeated operation, a point emphasized in the durability lifespan testing of electrical appliances.

Insulation resistance measures the switch's ability to protect against current leakage and the integrity of the insulation layer when it is open. Testing often includes measuring resistance in the millions of ohms using a megohmmeter.

Electrical strength (also known as withstand voltage testing) reflects whether the switch can maintain insulation integrity and structural safety when subjected to abnormal voltage or electric shock. A typical standard is that the switch should not break down after being subjected to several thousand volts for one minute above the rated voltage.
