When The Wall Switch Becomes A Socket Connection Point
Many families want to increase the number of electrical outlets to meet the power needs of modern devices when renovating or upgrading their electrical circuits. Even a space like outlet Wall Switch, which originally only had a light fixture, can be converted into an outlet. Using a wall switch to connect to an outlet is the first step in optimizing electrical wiring.
During the renovation, the first step is to inspect the existing wiring within the wall. Once it's confirmed that the switch box contains a live wire (black), a neutral wire (white), and a ground wire (usually green or a bare wire), it's possible to convert the original light control switch into an outlet output. During installation, the wires must be connected to the corresponding terminals on the outlet: the live wire to the copper-colored screw, the neutral wire to the silver screw, and the ground wire to the ground terminal. After the outlet box is re-secured, power is restored and a power-on test is performed to confirm that the outlet can supply power stably.
