Standard Operating Procedure For High-voltage Disconnect Switches
In actual operation, the prescribed operating sequence must be strictly followed. When de-energizing, the circuit breaker should be disconnected first, followed by the isolating switch; the load-side isolating switch should be disconnected first, followed by the power-side isolating switch. The energizing sequence is the reverse. Before operation, ensure that the circuit breaker of the corresponding circuit is in the open position to prevent accidental escalation due to misoperation. When an interlocking device to prevent misoperation is installed between High Voltage Disconnect Switch and the grounding switch or circuit breaker, the switching operation must be carried out in sequence, and the interlocking must not be released arbitrarily.
