Operations Explicitly Prohibited On High-voltage Disconnectors

The High Voltage Disconnect Switch is primarily responsible for opening and closing circuits and isolating power supplies. It cannot be used to disconnect load current or short-circuit current. Otherwise, when reacting under high voltage, an arc could instantly occur, causing contact burns, equipment damage, and even safety accidents. The correct way to use it is to first disconnect the load current with a circuit breaker, and then achieve safe isolation using a high-voltage isolating switch.
