Operating Procedures For Power Distribution Cabinets

(1) Powbinet is the central power distribution hub for the ship's power generation and equipment.  Unauthorized personnel are strictly prohibited from operating the switches on the panel.

(2) After the generator set is started, the speed should be manually and slowly increased using the power panel speed control switch until the generator reaches its normal operating state, and the voltage and frequency reach the specified values before closing the circuit breaker to supply power.

(3) Once the distribution panel is in the power distribution state, the power panel speed control switch should not be arbitrarily operated, and the air circuit breaker's interlocking switch should not be used except in emergencies.

(4) Parallel operation of generators must be carried out strictly according to the parallel operation conditions and regulations. Attention should be paid to phenomena such as reverse power (reverse current) and parallel operation failure.

(5) When shutting down, the generator load should be disconnected first, and then the generator should be stopped without load.  Direct shutdown under load is prohibited.

(6) When connecting or disconnecting shore power, all power switches on the shore power panel should be disconnected first. Then, the wiring and phase sequence should be checked for correctness. Only after confirmation can the ship-to-shore power conversion be performed. Operation under load is strictly prohibited.

(7) The power distribution cabinet should be regularly cleaned and maintained to ensure that the equipment is always in good working condition. (8) When the generator is operating and the engine room personnel are operating the power distribution panel, they should concentrate and operate cautiously to prevent accidents. Otherwise, personal responsibility for any accidents will be pursued.

(9) The charging and discharging panel is the ship's emergency power distribution panel. The on-duty engine room personnel should frequently check its working condition to ensure sufficient low-voltage power at all times and monitor the working condition of the magnetic saturation voltage regulator through the instruments on the panel.

(10) During normal navigation, all switches on the power distribution panel should be in the "on" position to ensure that the generator can be started at any time and put into use when needed. Secondary wiring process: 1. Follow the schematic diagram. Wires that are not in the same location should be connected to terminals.  Never connect three wires to a single terminal. Troubleshooting will not be possible in that case; you can only check each connection against the schematic diagram.
