The insulation resistance between the live socket and the socket body is ≥5MΩ. The failure modes of electrical isolation are clear: changes in air humidity, dust deposition, and surface contamination of materials gradually create potential leakage current paths. Impurity ions within the insulator migrate under the influence of an electric field, causing the resistance value to slowly decrease. When the insulation resistance falls below the critical value, it means that the socket body may become accidentally live.
