Improved Fuses: Surface Coating Technology
Recent advances in materials engineering and surface technologies have brought new manufacturing approaches to the drop out fuse product. Surface coating technology is used in industry to improve the interaction between materials and the environment, forming dense metallic or alloy coatings through thermal spraying and subsequent heat treatment processes. Similar technologies have been used in other fields to improve the bonding strength and durability of metal components.
Integrating surface coating processes into the fuse component manufacturing process can change the surface condition of traditional components, thus providing new directions for exploring the overall product manufacturing process. The application of such coatings in the internal circuit channels or connection terminals of fuses requires consideration of the thermal expansion matching, electrical compatibility, and manufacturing continuity between the substrate and the coating material.
