Impact Of Moving Contact Under Load On The Performance Of High-voltage Disconnecting Switches

Date: | Read: 10

In the operating environment of High Voltage Disconnect Switch, the current state when the moving contact and stationary contact are in contact directly determines the requirements of the switch's mechanical structure and the dielectric environment. As an isolation device used in power systems, high-voltage disconnect switches are mainly designed for circuit opening and closing under non-load conditions. All contact points are open to the air, and their structure lacks an arc-extinguishing device. Therefore, the moving contact remains in an arc-bearing state when carrying a load current. This state places higher demands on the material and geometry of the contact surface.
