How To Make The Sleeve Of A Cold Shrink Cable Accessory Automatically Shrink And Tighten?
Cold Shrink Cable Accessories is made of elastic silicone rubber or EPDM rubber, and uses an embedded spiral support tube or core rope structure to keep the sleeve in an open state.
During installation, the operator slides the expanded-diameter sleeve into the cable pretreatment area and then pulls out the support tube or core rope. As the support structure is removed, the elastomer immediately retracts to its original size. This action causes the sleeve to tighten radially inward, tightly adhering to the cable insulation layer.
During the shrinkage process, the clamping force of the sleeve is distributed along the axial and radial directions of the cable, forming a stable adhesion. This automatic shrinkage action comes from the "memory" function of the elastomer material and the pre-expansion design.
