How To Diagnose The Problem With A Wall Switch?

Sometimes, the instability of the home lighting system may be due to aging of the Wall Switch or poor internal contact. If the switch makes a crackling, buzzing, or sparking sound when switching, these signs may indicate loose internal contacts or oxidation of metal components.

If the switch panel feels noticeably hot, even slightly burning, this usually means the circuit is overloaded or there is abnormal impedance at the connection, and it should not be used further.

If the switch's mechanical parts operate sluggishly—for example, the button or toggle is stuck, the switch is unstable, or there is a delay in light feedback after turning it off/on—this indicates that the internal mechanism may be worn or the spring may be malfunctioning.
