How Can A Power Distribution Cabinet Achieve The Goal Of One Machine, One Switch, And One Protection?
Each piece of electrical equipment is directly controlled by a circuit breaker within the cabinet. The circuit breaker output connects to the machine load, and the circuit breaker input connects to the main busbar. The internal leakage protection device or overload protection relay of Powbinet works synchronously with the circuit breaker. Thus, in the event of an equipment malfunction, the power supply can be directly cut off via the circuit breaker, and the protection device will simultaneously activate, protecting the equipment.
In the incoming and outgoing line structure design of the distribution cabinet, each branch is clearly assigned to the corresponding equipment. After the busbar section provides power, each branch is equipped with a circuit breaker, and a corresponding protection element is arranged downstream of the circuit breaker. The protection element is installed in a dedicated location within the distribution cabinet, working in conjunction with the circuit breaker to respond to faults such as short circuits, overloads, and leakage current. The circuit breaker and protection element are installed in the same cabinet, thus truly achieving the power distribution principle of "one piece of equipment – one switch – one protection".
