How Are Cold Shrink Cable Accessories Formed?
The production of Cold Shrink Cable Accessories employs a highly engineered process, centered on injection vulcanization molding of elastomer materials. Strict material preparation and mold design ensure product consistency and performance stability.
High-performance elastomers typically use silicone rubber or ethylene propylene rubber as the main materials. These materials are first compounded and then precisely injected into specially designed molds using injection molding equipment for vulcanization. This process causes cross-linking of the rubber molecules, resulting in excellent mechanical strength and elasticity. Temperature, pressure, and time must be strictly controlled during vulcanization to ensure uniformity between material physical properties and product dimensions.
The vulcanized accessory components then undergo a diameter expansion process and are fitted with a removable plastic spiral support, allowing them to leave the factory in a pre-expanded state.
