High-voltage Disconnector Contact Design And Gap Setting
High Voltage Disconnect Switch mainly relies on mechanical contact to conduct current. When the switch is in the closed state, the contact surface of the contact should be fully engaged to meet the requirements of the current-carrying contact area. When the switch is in the open state, an appropriate gap is left to prevent mechanical problems such as damage to the insulating support due to excessive compression of the contact during operation.
This gap size is also related to the positioning and alignment accuracy between the moving and stationary contacts. A reasonable gap prevents contact misalignment during closing or opening, thus maintaining good contact clamping effect and mechanical life.
