Current Adjustment Guidelines For Using Drop-out Fuses In High-altitude Areas
Date: | Read: 5
For every 1000 meters increase in altitude, the rated current of a drop out fuse fuse should decrease by 8%.
As altitude increases, air pressure gradually decreases, and the cooling effect of the air weakens. This affects the heat dissipation capacity of the fuse, thus altering its fusing characteristics. Therefore, when using drop-out fuses in high-altitude areas, the rated current of the fuse needs to be adjusted according to the altitude to ensure its effectiveness and safety in normal operating environments.
