Cold Shrink Products
Last week, we introduced our heat shrink products to you, so today we will talk about our cold shrink products.
Then our Cold Shrink Cable Accessories can also be divided into three categories: cold shrink insulation tube, cold shrink cable accessories and cold shrink parts.
Cold shrink insulation tube of cold shrink products. Cold shrink insulation tube refers to the insulation tube inside the cold shrink terminal. Because of the different withstand voltage levels, their lengths are also different. The length of 1kv cold shrink insulation tube and 10kv cold shrink insulation tube is 40 cm per tube, while the length of 35kv cold shrink insulation tube is 50 cm per tube. Different from the heat shrink tubing, the specifications of heat shrink tubing are expressed in different ways. As we all know, the specifications of heat shrink tubing range from 3mm to 200mm, while the cold shrink insulation tubing is calculated according to the square number of the cable. For example, the square numbers of 1kv cold shrink insulation tubing and 10kv cold shrink insulation tubing are the same: 1# (25--50mm²), 2# (70--120mm²), 3# (150--240mm²), 4# (300--400mm²), while the square numbers of 35kv cold shrink insulation tubing are: 1# (50--95mm²), 2# (120--185mm²), 3# (240--400mm²).
Cold shrink cable accessories of cold shrink products. Cold shrink accessories include two major categories: cold shrink cable terminals and cold shrink cable intermediates. In particular, cold shrink cable terminals are gradually becoming more popular from the perspective of industry prospects.
Cold shrink parts of cold shrink products. In addition to cold shrink insulation tubes, cold shrink cable accessories are generally used in sets. Of course, some customers will need one of these products, such as cold shrink finger sleeves, sealing tubes, filling glue, sealant, constant force springs, waterproof composite tapes, etc.
After talking about cold shrink products, let's talk about the difference between them and heat shrink products. First of all, their materials. The material used in cold shrink products is silicone rubber, which has good elastic insulation properties; while the material used in heat shrink products is PE, which has no elasticity itself, only "elastic memory" function. Secondly, their usage methods. As long as the internal support strips are gently pulled out of the cold shrink product, it will rely on its own elastic retraction force to cling to the covered object; while heat shrink products need to be heated and baked with open flames to shrink them. The above is all for today.
