Cable Inlet Arrangement At The High-voltage Disconnector
Introducing cables into High Voltage Disconnect Switch is a common wiring method. For high-voltage disconnect switches that use cable inlets, the power supply line is usually connected to the side of the moving and stationary contacts. This connection method is sometimes called "reverse connection" in the industry. It can establish a clear connection relationship between the cable and the busbar, which facilitates on-site installation and inspection.
This arrangement imposes clear mechanical matching standards on the switch installation requirements. Both sides of the disconnector must be securely connected to the busbar and cable support structure. The contact surfaces between the contact ends and the cable terminals must meet the geometric and material requirements of industry standards to maintain long-term stability at the junction. The dynamic and static matching relationships of the high-voltage equipment and the design of the supporting foundation need to be determined through professional calculations to adapt to the site environment and expected current carrying capacity.
