Analysis Of The Cause Of Short Circuit Due To Wall Switch Being Pressed Down By Flammable Material
When flammable materials cover or are in close contact with the Wall Switch panel, the conductors inside the wall switch may come into abnormal contact with other metals or conductive objects, causing current to flow through unexpected paths. Such abnormal connections constitute a typical short circuit—the current is far higher than normal, generating significant heat and an electric arc.
If the wall switch is deformed due to pressure, has loose wires, or damaged insulation, short circuits or poor grounding are more likely to occur. In such cases, the wire insulation may be broken or exposed, leading to abnormal contact between the live wire and the neutral, ground, or even the casing, easily triggering a short circuit.
