Analysis And Application Of Letter Coding System For Drop-out Fuse Models

As an important protection device for 10kV distribution lines, the model coding system of drop-out fuses is the core basis for equipment selection and operation and maintenance management. The letter sequence in the model not only represents the basic parameters of the product, but also contains the structural characteristics and performance indicators of the equipment, forming a complete equipment information map.

1. Hierarchical structure of model coding
The model of High Voltage Fuse follows the four-level coding rule of "product code + structural characteristics + environmental characteristics + rated parameters". Taking RW12-10/100 type fuse as an example, the first letter "R" represents the fuse category, which is the abbreviation of Recloser. The second letter "W" represents the outdoor installation characteristics, which comes from the abbreviation of Weatherproof in English. The digital suffix "12" indicates the design number, which reflects the algebraic relationship of product iteration. The larger the value, the more advanced the technology.

In the environmental adaptability logo, "TH" represents the wet heat type, and "TA" represents the dry heat type. This type of code is derived from the IEC climate protection level standard. For plateau equipment, the "GY" logo will be marked, which comes from the first letter of the pinyin of "Gaoyuan". Its insulation level is 15%-20% higher than that of ordinary types.

‍‌‌‌‌‍‌ The voltage level is marked in fractional form. The number before the slash indicates the rated voltage, such as "10" represents a 10kV system. The current parameter is marked after the slash, such as "100" represents a 100A rated current. The breaking capacity level is distinguished by letter suffixes, "G" type represents 12.5kA, "H" type can reach 16kA, and this classification is formulated according to GB/T 15166 standard.

In the insulation medium code, "F" represents composite insulation structure, and "S" represents silicone rubber insulation. The arc chamber material code "Q" is a gas-generating arc extinguishing tube, and "N" represents a new type of ceramic arc extinguishing tube. The breaking characteristics of the two differ by more than 30%.

‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍ In the transformation of power grids in mountainous areas, the "FW" of RW12-FW/200 fuses indicates a windproof structure, and its fuse lock mechanism has been strengthened. The RW7-TH/100 fuse selected in coastal areas has "TH" indicating the protection level that has passed the salt spray test. For the chemical industry, the "N" in the RW10-N/125 model indicates corrosion-resistant coating technology.

In the special function code, "Z" represents an automatic tripping device, and "K" represents an expandable remote control module. When marking the rated current, attention should be paid to the carry rule of the denominator value. Specifications above 200A use copper-silver alloy melt, and its time-current characteristic curve is significantly different from that of conventional products.
